You know that old saying about “neither snow nor rain…”? (Photo/Fred Cantor)
No word from Metro-North on whether (weather?) there was “Good Service” today. (Photo/Fred Cantor)
It was slow going — just as the sign says — on Saugatuck Shores today. (Photo/Gene Borio)

Blizzard bonus feature: Seagulls were out surfing at Compo. Thanks to Dee Dee Scanlin, Chip Stephens and Betsy Pollak for sharing!
Metro North actually had excellent service earlier today until they announced it was being shut down around 4:00 pm today. My daughter came back from NYC on it and the trains going into NYC while I was there were on time.
Spoken like a true surfer, Nancy! I was thinking the same thing. I tried to body-surf some of that rough Compo chop a few years ago during a storm; it wasn’t too satisfying.
All roads bridges, tunnels and public trans including Metro North are CLOSED in NYC therefore ….us?
