The Fire Department is on the scene of a propane leak on Morningside Drive South. Workers struck a 500-gallon propane tank.
The propane company and Fairfield County Hazardous Materials Response Team are conducting a flare tower operation to burn off the remaining propane.
Morningside Drive South is closed between Hillandale Road and Center Street. That has snarled traffic around Greens Farms Elementary School, and will impact bus routes and pickups there.
