Alert “06880” reader (and photographer) Sandy Soennichsen spotted the peripatetic Southport Beach shack on Nyala Farms Road — between the Sherwood Island connector and Green’s Farms Road, near the Bridgewater office building.
It appears, Sandy says, that work is being done on the roof.
I was told that they had to take a foot off the top to get it under an overpass someplace on its way to the next stop.
Also, it will remain as-is (shack-on-trailer) so it can qualify for “food truck” regulations and be at Southport Beach next year, whereas rebuilding it as a permanent building required more permitting than was practical.
Hey Dan I saw the truck right after the exit at 19 going towards Fairfield. Meant to email you hours ago. Maggi Zeldes Maggi Karp Zeldes 917 797 7190 From: 06880Sent: Friday, October 25, 2013 7:57 PMTo: maggi.karp@gmail.comReply To: 06880Subject: [New post] Where Is The Southport Beach Shack Today?
