Where Is The Southport Beach Shack Today?

Alert “06880” reader (and photographer) Sandy Soennichsen spotted the peripatetic Southport Beach shack on Nyala Farms Road — between the Sherwood Island connector and Green’s Farms Road, near the Bridgewater office building.

It appears, Sandy says, that work is being done on the roof.

  1. I was told that they had to take a foot off the top to get it under an overpass someplace on its way to the next stop.

Also, it will remain as-is (shack-on-trailer) so it can qualify for “food truck” regulations and be at Southport Beach next year, whereas rebuilding it as a permanent building required more permitting than was practical.
