Jimmy Izzo — the very helpful and conscientious owner of Crossroads Ace Hardware — posted on Facebook this afternoon:

“No more “D” batteries  🙁  sorry … maybe Monday.”

Just as quickly, someone responded:

“Plenty of roof rakes?”

    I think jimmy posted on FB earlier this year about someone returning a roof rake in July. Either that or ice melt. Jimmy and his store are a great part of our corner of Westport.
