Test borings to see if the Y really can expand into the space next door?
Whatever the answer, it’s clear there’s more action on Church Lane now than there has been in years decades ever.
As far as I know, David Waldman is going to wrap his new Bedford Square complex around the corner onto the old Gunn property with more retail, underground parking for his tenants and more condos above, if he can get a height variance or zone amendment. The Gunn house and the boxy dentis’st/doctor’s office are coming down. At least that’s the last thing David told me. But ask him. .Oh yoo hoo… David????
Breaking ground for the new YMCA? Actually someone suggested that Waldman just build out on the present location. Good by me.
Isn’t that the old house he tried to get rezoned, and was refused?
According to someone I know who works in the building and has for years….The restaurant across the street has been getting water in the basement. Its supposed to do something to the groundwater? It was very loud!
I don’t recall seeing a demolition permit application notice in Westportnow. Hmmmmmm. Maybe that is drilling to see if it can be moved? I continue to dream.
