… you’re probably addicted.
TED, of course, stands for Technology, Entertainment, Design. It’s a conference where amazingly intelligent and creative thinkers deliver spectacularly entertaining and insightful lectures, which are then available on the incredibly phenomenal TED website .
I’m not kidding. It’s that good.
But if you’re like me, you wander through the TED site like an American tourist in an Arabian souk. There’s great stuff all around, but you have no clue what’s what. So you pick out something that looks cool, and hope for the best.
Tomorrow (Wednesday, March 23, 10 a.m., Westport Library), technology librarian Tilly Dutta talks about TED — and demonstrates the most effective ways to find the most masterful masterpieces.
There’s not much junk at TED. But if you want to find the 24-karat gold — not just the 12 — this library presentation is for you.
Just make sure not to plan much else in the month or two after you go.
