Wow! That photo could capture the memory of generations of Westporters. I’m sure that I jumped off a lifeguard chair at Compo as a kid back in the 60’s.
I thought that was a cover of The Saturday Evening Post.
Ditto.
That looks exactly like a 1960s magazine cover! What an amazing photo! Takes me back in time to when we would leave Compo at dusk.
I’m so curious how they got that effect with the shot was it adjusted? It really looks like it Rockwell painting with a magazine cover as described above.
Perfect end of summer capture
Fabulous my friend!!!
At first glance I thought ” Oh that’s Compo in the fifties “.
Nice pic !
thank you, everyone. I do take a lot of time with each “vintage” photo to create the right feeling. thank you for your appreciation and fun comments!
That kid got some height!
Love the photo filter
Great photo
Wonderful
Image!
Yay – good old-fashioned fun! The ‘mice’ are adorable and the photo is a framer 🙂
Ok, this needs to be on the cover of The New Yorker, STAT! It’s soooo Rockwell … and just a classic scene of what most of us experienced in some way, growing up in Westport! Yep, I’ve climbed those chairs … much room for injury, LOL!
