Looks really great, I love the brass notice board there. Thank you Andrew for re-furbishing it.
Thank you! I saw this just as I was actually walking out of town hall too 🤣.
Great shot!
The notice board is worthy of a preservation award. Nice job Andrew. The columns look great too.
That would be pretty cool ❤️. I’m starting another project as we speak, I’ll fill you in when I see you next.
I am smiling since this was formerly Bedford Elementary.
The moment I started scrolling this picture from the top, I knew it was Bedford Elementary where I once went to school. And which would have become a pile of rubble if David Royce hadn’t needled the local officials to convert it into the Town Hall.
Great image!
NICE!
As I recall, around the time Peter Barlow describes, First Selectwoman Jackie Heneage and Chief of Police Bill Stefan had just gotten back from their dangerous but inspiring visit to Vietnam. Westport was very well known in those days for sponsoring Hanoi as a “sister city.” Don Saddlemire, director of the Recreation Commission had donated 500 tons of surplus Roundup weed killer to help Ho Chi Minh defend his country against a ruthless invader.
Stunning!
