    Once upon a time, the abandoned track #5 was a spur south or west of the train station.

    I think Track #5 was the siding to Saugatuck Grain & Supply

    Pepperidge Farm used that siding for freight cars of flour. I was working one night (WPD) when they backed one off of the siding right on to Saugatuck Ave. When that happened I was in front of the long gone “Safari Pub” where Whole Foods is now. We heard it and felt it.
