SUCH A JOY EACH YEAR. DO I REMEMBER CORRECTLY THAT IY’S “THE ANGELS” WHO PUT THEM UP?
Wow! How about that? Beautiful, colorful lights that welcome all who cross with warmth and a delightful spirit. Town administration—cross the bridge. Go to Wakeman Farm.
Exquisite Andrew!!!
Gorgeous shot of Westport’s iconic Cribari bridge. It’s the real-life gateway to our own version of “It’s a Wonderful Life.” The bridge’s fate still hangs in balance. May Clarence and George Bailey inspire us to remember what’s worth saving.
The low-angle view is very effective. Not easily done, unless you have a camera with a view finder you look down into. Or else lie down in the road, We do all kinds of things to get pictures!
The Cribari Bridge and the wonderful Christmas lights look wonderful as usual. Such a great part of a Westport Christmas traditions. Congratulations as usual for all the volunteers who work so hard to make it a reality every Christmas time season!.
Let’s get an update on the future fate of this wonderful feature of Westport and what is happening with the town, state and DOT on planning for it’s future?
The refrain from “Big Yellow Taxi” goes
Don’t it always seem to go
That you don’t know what you’ve got till it’s gone
They paved paradise, put up a parking lot
Thanks, Andrew, for the reminder of what we’ve got.
