Photo Challenge #286

I knew last week’s Photo Challenge would be tough. But I also thought that since many Wesptorters have been taking long walks during the pandemic, more folks than usual might have spotted the banner with Paul Newman’s smiling face that was the featured shot.

Nope.

The only 2 readers who knew were artist/designer Miggs Burroughs (who seemed to have inside knowledge, when he wrote “studio garage behind 25 Imperial Avenue; it was conceived and created by the late internationally renowned futurist Watts Wacker”) and Jeff Kaufman (who, by noting “I have an unfair advantage,” must mean he works at that small office complex).

The banner is visible from a few vantage points near the police station. So, if you’re still out taking a COVID walk, check it out. (Click here for the photo.)

    At the showers next to the lockers and the old snack bar. I played there as a kid.

    Compo Beach – near showers – foot wash area……. My son loved to dig around here and the other side -making tunnels to the beach with water flowing in. 🙂

    Earlier today, Westport town officials unveiled the new Covid compliant entrance to Town Hall.

        Btw, I’m told by administration officials that the tiny new entry will be posted with a sign which reads: “If you don’t fit, you don’t git”.
        Guess it’s time for me to cut down on bread.

    Way way way to easy… the ultimate tribute to summer in Westport… If you have never blocked the drain at the footbath to the right of the iconic showers at the pavilion you’re not a child of Westport! The beloved compo foot wash and child play area for so many through decades

    Ann Moore came up for the day (hadn’t been here since March 10) and we walked beach to find this. LOL. I wash my feet there all the time and NEVER saw it!!!!!
