Pic Of The Day #848
This entry was posted in History, Longshore, Pic of the Day and tagged Gray's Creek cemetery. Bookmark the permalink.
This was where the cheaters uncovered the prize during the Westport 150 year celebration. I believe same year Hall and Oats did not have the highly publicized concert in Westport
That was one crazy summer
It’s nice to see the fence and brush clean-up as recognition of this poignant spot which reminds us of the brave and determined Westporters of the day.
When I was a girl wild asparagus grew there, the only place I ever saw it.
Delicious! But long gone…
Does anyone know if any of the stones or parts of them are legible &/or the names of these patriots? Also is it possible for non residents to visit the cemetery? Thank you!
