    The bridge should have been replaced twenty years ago. The funds spent to repair we’re wasted. There is nothing unique about it, it is a rusted hulk and is on its way to being declared unsafe.

    I wish I could find the pictures I took a few years ago when I looked underneath the bridge before some repairs were made. Many critical support (not decorative/truss) beams completely rotted. Seems a lot has been braced or fixed in the past few years.

    Apply Naval Jelly followed by Rust Oleum and voila!!! “Crowbar” (yes, that was his nickname) would be proud.
