Not sure, but this doesn’t look legal. I’ll defer to the law but looks like a small Striped bass.
Not a keeper.

Who caught who?
Cool photo, but be aware: The minimum legal length for striped bass is 28” — anything smaller needs to be released.
The striped bass are very abundant now as they are feeding and getting ready to migrate south, but the limit is 28” . This fish is definitely not legal to keep.
That Striper could very well have been born in the Saugatuck this year. They hang around their spawning areas until they are large enough to migrate when they’re 2 to 3 years of age. Hopefully this Fisherman was aware enough to catch and release.
