Pics Of The Day #527
This entry was posted in Beach, Pic of the Day, Weather and tagged Compo Beach, Deadman's Brook, Winslow Park. Bookmark the permalink.

Winslow Park’s footbridge over Deadman’s Brook did exactly as it was designed to do. If the water rises high enough, the bridge is designed to lift off it’s pins on one side and swing open. This prevents it from becoming a dam and also from being destroyed by debris and water pressure. I don’t believe the bridge has ever swung open since its installation. That’s how high the brook got in Tuesday’s rain storm.
