i like to remember when we’d be racing Snipes in those waters. Harry
Allen would usually win, as he intimately knew the tides and currents all along the shoreline from Norwalk to Southport. Another guy who won a lot
was Jack Watson, whose father ran IBM at the time; Jack had the best boat
and sails. at the time (early 1950s) about 14 of us Snipe owners could be seen of a weekend afternoon, sometimes two in a row !
should have written two afternoons in a row i.e. Saturday and Sunday
