36 Elm Street was demolished yesterday. The building — most recently Villa del Sol — housed many previous businesses, including for a number of years Werner’s restaurant. What is happening with Villa del Sol? Their website does not indicate another location.
I am pretty sure that way back in the early 1950’s there was a restaurant there called The Chanticleer. By 1966 it had moved to the Post Road. It was in the Motel. I should remember the name or Motel Chain but at the Moment it escapes me. I am really sad to see so many places bite the dust.
