Then & Now: #31

Every week, “Then & Now” curator and pre-demolition archivist Dave Matlow provides images of now-demolished homes, and the structures that replace them.

They’re part of a project he worked on from 2004 to 2020.

A reminder: This is a community blog. Our neighbors live here. Some built those new structures; others are the second (or beyond) owners.

If you comment, please be kind. Taste is subjective. Wherever we live, everyone has loves their home.

  1. sage advice ‼️ 🇺🇸

  2. I actually like the “ Then” house on Tupelo Road, although I’ve never even heard of that street. I wonder how the street got its name? Was there any connection to Tupelo, Mississippi where Elvis was born 101 years ago?

  3. The “before” Wakenor house is SOOOO much nicer than the replacement. What an architecturally misfeasant disaster is the replacement.
