Unfortunately, it’s not Christmas.
It’s 4 days before spring.
And we could get 3 to 5 inches of snow on Saturday!

Wonderful pic (although I would have preferred seeing this a month or two months ago).
We got about a foot of snow in Wallingford on Tuesday, so forget that Saturday forecast. I don’t want to shovel one more inch of snow. Lovely photo though.
We shouldn’t get our hopes up. The Spring Equinox is a week away. That doesn’t mean spring is a week away. Someone (Mark Twain?) said that the first day of spring and the first spring day aren’t necessarily the same thing. And I remember a snow storm that closed schools on April 6 in the 70’s.

I remember snow in April in the 50’s I don’t remember it as a huge storm but then I was a kid so I wouldn’t have cared! My memory is that March often brought the big snow storms. Hopefully Spring wild be “sprung” soon for everyone.
CAN;T REMEMBER WHEN BUT WE DID HAVE SNOW INCE IN APRIL 26th . . YE GADS
PARDON THE TYPOS
I remember a snowstorm on Easter Sunday in the early ’70s. It was in April. I was driving up to Sugarbush and it took me eight hours, instead of the usual four. But you don’t turn back when you’re headed up to ski. Only when you’re there and it starts to snow.
Would You People stop kvetching about snow, Please? Here in Pouring Down Portland, Oregon, we have had something like 57 days of rain. I am beginning to wonder if Summer has been canceled this year. Well, Cheers, anyway.
