They loved all his work.

used to see Alfred standing (smoking) outside his office at Universal when we recorded music for Marcus Welby. his office was on a terrace just above the Music Stage. sometimes he whiffed the “musicians tobacco” we would
be smoking; he would look down on us with a big smile ! Edith Head had
the office right next to Hitchcock. those were the days !
