Miss The LWV Voters’ Guide? Find It Here!

Every local election year, Westport’s League of Women Voters publishes a Voters’ Guide. Many voters rely on it as a comprehensive view of candidates for every office, from selectman* to dog-catcher.**

This year’s guide was distributed through the Minuteman. Unfortunately, with a recent switch in distribution, the paper failed to deliver the Guide to most Westporters.

LWV my town my voteNot to worry. The 2015 Voters’ Guide — highlighting candidates for the Board of Education, Board of Finance, Planning & Zoning Commission, Zoning Board of Appeals, Board of Assessment Appeals and RTM — is available on the LWV website (click here).

You can also pick up copies at the Westport Library, Senior Center and town clerk’s office in Town Hall.

The League of Women Voters is non-partisan. It includes men too.

It’s a fantastic organization. They’ve worked hard on this year’s Voters’ Guide. Check it out now!

*not running this year

We do have a Dog Catcher, ehem, Warden. We just don’t elect them anymore

  3. Thank you so much, Dan, for helping get the Voters’ Guide out to the town!

Thanks for this, we’ve been wondering if it was going to come. (My post-it notes with candidates and their various positions were starting to take over my desk!)

  5. Too bad the voter’s guide is only presented in Adobe Flash Player. It really is a horrible platform. Too bad it wasn’t released as a simple PDF.

Thanks, Dan. The LWV got more printed copies from the Minute Man for the Library, Town Hall and Senior Center. Also we’ll be handing them out around town. Meanwhile the electronic version helps, if you can figure out how to enlarge it and turn the page.

  7. Matt, when you open the Guide using the link, you should see some buttons on the bottom left corner of the screen, and one of them is an option to download the Guide as a PDF. I agree, it is easier to read that way.

    • Thanks Sheila!
(friends don’t let friends install and run Adobe Flash 🙂 ).
I used a different browser to view it.

  8. Many thanks Dan!

I have always been proud of the work that the League continues to do. It is so great to read you support!!
Too bad about the,”Minuteman”. They have always been cooperative. I guess we are onto “on-line” now. We did lose some money on this Guide this year and probably can’t take a chance next year.
The great coverage and support you give us is so greatly appreciated!
Kudos to you and again, many thanks!!
