Last month, StartUp Westport celebrated Women’s History Month with a panel on female entrepreneurs and investors.
That got Laureen Haynes thinking: Many Westport businesses were started by, or are owned by, women.
She is one of them. Haynes founded Chocolatieree, on Church Lane.

There should definitely be a list, she thinks. Maybe a networking event too.
That got me thinking: How many female owned and/or run businesses are there?
I came up with these. It is not, by any means, conclusive:
- Age of Reason
- Allium Eatery
- Amy Swanson Homes
- Badass Bagels

- Child’s Pose Yoga
- Chocolatieree

- Granola Bar
- Hummingbird Healing Center
- Jeera Thai
- JL Rocks
- Judy Michaelis Real Estate
- KMS Team at Compass
- La Beaute Artistry
