These Women Mean Business

Last month, StartUp Westport celebrated Women’s History Month with a panel on female entrepreneurs and investors.

That got Laureen Haynes thinking: Many Westport businesses were started by, or are owned by, women.

She is one of them. Haynes founded Chocolatieree, on Church Lane.

There should definitely be a list, she thinks. Maybe a networking event too.

That got me thinking: How many female owned and/or run businesses are there?

I came up with these. It is not, by any means, conclusive:

  • Age of Reason
  • Allium Eatery
  • Amy Swanson Homes
  • Badass Bagels
  • Blossom + Stem
  • Bungalow
  • Candle Caboodle
  • Child’s Pose Yoga
  • Chocolatieree
  • Cove Collective
  • Destination Haus
  • Granola Bar
  • Hummingbird Healing Center
  • Jeera Thai
  • JL Rocks
  • Judy Michaelis Real Estate
  • KMS Team at Compass
  • La Beaute Artistry
  • Le Rouge by Aarti
  • Longshore Sailing School
  • Michelle & Team at William Raveis
  • Nômade
  • Office Evolution Westport
  • Our Town Crier
  • Pamela Einarsen Photography
  • Party Harty
  • Picture This of Westport
  • Pure Salon & Beauty
  • Rebel & Rose Tattoo
  • Salon Nash
  • Savvy + Grace
  • Soleil Toile
  • Sorelle Gallery
  • Suzanne Sheridan Photography
  • The Fred Shop
  • The Legacy Project USA
  • Village Pediatrics
  • WEST
  • WestportMoms
  • Westport Pilates
  • White Horse Consulting
  • Yozo Gallery

I know! I know! I have missed a few some many.
