Despite the hype, the nor’easter of 2026 was not all we feared.
Unless you live on the coast, from Burying Hill Beach to Saugatuck Shores.
Or unless you live in an area prone to flooding. There was plenty of that — particularly since the full moon peaked yesterday.
Or unless you’re one of the hundreds of residents without power.
At 1:30 this afternoon, the number in Westport was 278 — 2.17% of the town, up slightly from this morning.
In Weston, 317 customers (8.08%) have lost electricity. That’s down by nearly half from this morning.
Statewide, 22.868 Eversource customers (1.74%) lack power.

those adogable puppies are not amused 😉 (they know that salty dirt water is well over their ‘knees’ and what they have walked through = ‘a bonus’ trip to a shower’ whether at the groomer’s or at home ;- )
Many local residents and businesses have had huge issues. Just watched a clip about NY and New Jersey shore really bad. We were blessed at our home as we live on a hill with no basement. Thankful.
