What is sad about this photograph of a lovely door is that on either side is a seven or eight foot hedge that blocks the water views of all those who walk along Hillspoint Rd. A few sites down, the owners of that piece of land has made a point of keeping their hedge at about three feet so all can enjoy the view of Long Island Sound. Let us hope the new, grand modern house on Hillspoint Rd. follows the example of those who do not block water views by tall hedges or walls, both of which are, sadly, permitted under our present zoning regulations.
