Photo Challenge #520

“Buy local” is a national movement.

In Westport, there is no bigger proponent than Savvy + Grace.

The gifts/souvenirs/cool one-of-a-kind Main Street shop, underneath Nômade and next to Brandy Melville, epitomizes the uniqueness and importance of patronizing our neighbors’ stores.

(And true to its roots, its trove of Westport-themed items is unmatched anywhere.)

Last week’s Photo Challenge showed the cute “Thank You for Shopping Local” sign outside owner Annette Norton’s shop. (Click here to see.)

The message has clearly gotten through. A dozen readers — Kristin Schneeman, Lee Bollert, Seth Schachter, Molly Alger, Lynn Untermeyer Miller, Andrew Colabella, Dave Eason, Li-Er Fradella, Sal Luccione, Micheal Simso, Amy Schneider and Wendy Schaefer — quickly nailed the answer.

There are 9 shopping days until Christmas. You know the assignment.

Today’s Photo Challenge is a bit unusual. But Lynn Untermeyer Miller snapped this image somewhere in town. If you know where, click “Comments” below.

(Every Sunday, “06880” hosts this Photo Challenge. We challenge you too to support your hyper-local blog. Please click here to make a tax-deductible contribution. Thank you!)

  1. Longshore rink?

  2. There can’t be that many places in town with a wide open expanse of (snow-covered) space, with an adjacent elevated point from which to take the picture (unless she used a drone!) — perhaps the Staples HS athletic fields?

  3. Clarendon Fine Art Gallery

  4. Andrew Colabella

I’m gonna go with Clarendon Fine Art Gallery. Lot of Madonna themed art 🖼️

  5. Clarendon Gallery. Right next to Audrey Hepburn and David Bowie!

  6. I’m confused. Not unusual, but is this a picture of a picture? Or did Lynn take this shot of an event which took place in town? I suspect the former.

  7. I’d have to go with Clarendon Fine Art gallery as well. Looks like the work of artist Craig Alan.

  8. It’s located at Clarendon Fine Arts on Main Street.

  9. It is Clarendon Fine Art — the great Main Street gallery, near the Post Road. Lynn Untermeyer Miller took this photo of one of Craig Alan’s works, on display there. Good job, Mary, Andrew, Arthur, John and Lisa. And Dave, you were right too.

  10. I think we saw this as we were taking the Holiday Stroll and walked into the Clarendon Gallery. Wonderful stroll….lovely gallery!!
