Remember all those empty storefronts and “For Lease” signs?
That was so yesterday.
Every day or two, “06880” posts news of a new restaurant or business opening in town.
(We also make note of closings. But that’s not what this story is about.)
It can be hard to keep up with all the changes.
But @WestportMoms — the multi-platform go-to resource for local moms (and dads) — has kept track.
Yesterday, they posted a very thorough list.

Love to see it. Always celebrate entrepreneurs – backbone of our economy. Sadly 1/2 those businesses will be closed in 24 months based on current macro economic conditions. Best of luck to them all.

Ohsella is a lovely new jewelry shop that just opened at 375 Post Rd West (in the plaza right before Whole Foods). Lovely gifts and handmade jewelry!
The site of Delmar to be is forever known as site of The New Englander motel. An icon of my childhood in Westport.

I’ve heard that Big Y was going to open in the Chase Bank plaza on the Post Road, where Amazon was going to open a grocery store (but didn’t). It is an amazing store and would be boon to Westport. Does anyone have any info about their plans?
