Savvy Smoker Seizure

Savvy Smoker might not be so smart after all.

Yesterday — following several complaints about the sale of illegal substances — Westport detectives executed a search warrant at the Post Road East smoke and vape shop, located in the former Subway store.

Assisted by agents from the state Department of Consumer Protection Drug Control Division, they found “a significant number of illegal items.”

They include hundreds of jars of pre-rolled marijuana cigarettes and vape cartridges, containers of concentrated resin, synthetic cannabinoids, dozens of packages of THC gummies, marijuana, and packaging materials.

The THC in many products exceeded the limit allowed in a hemp product, and/or were not in child or tamper-resistant packaging, police say.

Savvy Smoker does not hold a cannabis dispensary, hybrid retailer, retailer or delivery service license from the DCP.

The investigation continues, police say.

Rick : How can you close me up? On what grounds?

Captain Renault : I’m shocked! Shocked to find that gambling is going on in here.

[a croupier hands Renault a pile of money]

    Croupier : Your winnings, sir.

Captain Renault : [sotto voce] Oh, thank you very much.

    [aloud]

Captain Renault : Everybody out at once.

Am on the road day and night in real estate field. Have seen very little customer activity there and wondered how they have lasted so long. But THEY ARE OPEN to 0200 am ? WHY ?
Just another set of bad actors unm obviously.
Why did they get in there in the first place?
Are there NOT Enough real BUSINESSES TO RENT TO?
The owner would have been better to WAIT then now
    Suffering A BAD ACTOR.
Christian on the other side doesn’t deserve this , he deserves a BETTER TENANT ON THE OTHER SIDE!
Let’s support and help the the real actors!
These businesses should go back to Bridgeport ect where they belong.
We use to strive to be better, what went so wrong.

Glad they got caught. The place is an eye sore and needs to be shut down!

Back to Bridgeport lol. Not too offensive but at least you didn’t say anything antisemitic Heaven forbid.

  9. There were a lot of famous people who came out of Bridgeport. P.T Barnum is one example. “There’s a sucker born every minute.” Igor Sikorsky had his factory there too. There was the Singer Sowing Machine Company. And lastly, I was born there in 1947. (Ok, no wise cracks about a sucker born every minute.)

  10. Any retailer choosing the word, “Savvy” to identify the use their smoking wares, deserves to be shut down, ipso facto.

  11. I find it ironic (and just slightly disturbing) that State and local law enforcement authorities are willing to spend the time and manpower required to bust a local smoke shop for illegally selling a few loose joints and gummies, but we don’t have sufficient resources to enforce reckless 90mph drivers on I95 or the plethora of Westport drivers who routinely run red lights and ignore stop signs all over town. Think about it. What’s more likely to kill or injure people around here — getting T-boned at an intersection or someone with an unlicensed joint in their pocket?
