A little rain Friday could not dampen the enthusiasm of Westport’s kids.
A good crowd celebrated the last day of school with the “first day of summer”: the Yankee Doodle Fair.
For decades, the Westport Woman’s Club event has raised funds for worthy causes.
And for decades, kids have done exactly this stuff.

The Yankee Doodle Fair winds up today. Hours are 1 to 5 p.m.

OH! looking at these photographs makes me so nostalgic for Westport. To have that little gem of a fair at our fingertips every year, right in our town….ahhh, such a fabulous thing. So glad to see it’s still going.
I have loads of pictures in my photo album (when we had the film developed at CVS) of so many fun years at this wonderful tradition of the Yankee Doodle Fair. A large part of my heart will always stay in Westport
