Beach stickers are required to park at Compo Beach.
Later this month, warmer weather will draw crowds to the shore.
In a few weeks, the summer season will be in full swing.
Right now though, Compo still belongs to a select few.
Talented “06880” photographer Patricia McMahon headed down there a few mornings ago. She captured an hour, and time of year, that most of us are not privileged to see.
Whether you live here now, or once did; if you’re miles from the beach, or a few yards away: Enjoy these shots. Cherish this beautiful Compo Beach spring.

I visited family gravesites at the end of April for the sake of being able to get into Compo and Burying Hill Beaches. I do the same thing in the fall.
