Want to be part of the Guinness World Record book?
On Saturday, October 24 (1 to 3 p.m.), Westport artist Trace Burroughs leads families in an attempt to create the world’s largest abstract painting. The size is 8 feet, 10 inches by 20 feet.
The site is MoCA Westport. Families are encouraged to come (masked). The painting is big enough — and MoCA’s outdoor property big enough — for plenty of social distancing (and fun).

Trace Burroughs (left) leads an abstract painting project, in non-COVID times.
The event includes a concert by “New York City singing cowboy” Hopalong Andrew. Bring lawn chairs or blankets for the show.
Families can also bring their own food and drinks, or purchase them from an onsite food truck.
So what record is MoCA trying to beat?
It was 8 feet, 10 inches wide as well — but only 17 feet, 6 inches high.
The artist? Some guy named Jackson Pollack.
