Though I have not lived in Westport (Weston, actually) since I graduated from Staples in 1953 I still have the feeling of being able to “visit home” via 06880. In times of turmoil like we all are living through and trying to stay whole, images like this motorboat, silent on still waters, lets us know that (whomever) willing, we will be here tomorrow, ready to start our engines, and make forward progress. Thanks, Dan, for the reminder.
And by the way, not all of Portland is weird.
Thank YOU! Westport is like the Hotel California: You can check out any time you like, but you can never leave. I’m glad you still feel connected to this sometimes weird, often wonderful place. Thanks for checking in!
