Hello Dan and fellow Westporters. Although I am now a transplanted native living in Virginia, Westport is my home in my heart of hearts. I love the fantastic pictures and stories about people there as Westport continues to thrive despite the changes and closures that are part of changing times. I was wondering if anyone else recalls attending the following concert my dear late sister, Ann Craig, and I attended with neighbor Henry Seggerman and thousands of others. I found the listing on online as follows: It was August 6, 1970 Shea Stadium, New York City, NY (Benefit concert With Big Brother and The Holding Company, Paul Butterfield Blues Band, Al Kooper, Country Joe McDonald, Hair, Richie Havens, James Gang, Mother Earth, Pacific Gas & Electric, Tom Paxton, Poco, The Rascals, John Sebastian, Sha Na Na, Paul Simon, Staple Singers, Steppenwolf, Dionne Warwick, Ten Wheel Drive, Janis Joplin, Johnny Winter, Miles Davis & Herbie Hancock)a day- and evening long music bonanza. Happy holidays. Thanks for 06880, Dan!
