It’s been quite a run for Will Haskell.
In May of 2018, he graduated from Georgetown University.
Six months later he was elected to the Connecticut State Senate.
Now — just a year later — he’s landed on Forbes Magazine’s “30 Under 30” list.
That’s the annual celebration of rising leaders, in 20 areas ranging from arts, food and sports to “big money” and immigration.
Haskell — just 5 1/2 years out of Staples High School — was selected in the “Law & Policy” category.
Judges included Carrie Goldberg, Jon Huntsman, Laurence Tribe and Michael Tubbs.
Forbes received over 15,000 nominations for the 9th annual list.
It’s a great honor for Haskell.
And he’s only 23 years old. He’s got 6 more chances to repeat.
It is an honor to be represented in the Connecticut State Senate by such an intelligent and caring man. Will is a treasure and it is immediately noticeable even upon first meeting him. I am excited to think of his future, I am grateful that he is playing a major role in improving the political process
will for president
Well deserved for an amazing young senator
We are lucky to have him
Congratulations Will!!
Fantastic! Congrats Will.
Congratulations Will.
What an honor – such a deserving young man. And we are SO fortunate to have him representing us!
Westport is so proud of you, Will!!!
We are proud of you it a honor to call you a friend
A great honor, and as the father of a current Georgetown Senior – Hoya Saxa.
But like everything else in this “everyone gets a trophy” culture – how did the 30 under 30 become 18 categories (so it’s really 540 under 30) and it’s only the US & Canada.
We have so watered down everything it’s somewhere between sad and horrifying.
540 under 30 sounds awesome. The more talented 20-somethings, the better. 👏🏻
Congrats Will. To bad he has to work with all the democrats that have ruined Connecticut.
Senator Haskell is my hero! When all seemed lost in helping my special needs daughter with the state of Ct., Will came to the rescue. I am not at all surprised he was named “30 under 30” in Forbes magazine. He is passionate, resourceful, compassionate, and responds to his constituents in a nano second. He’s one to watch and will always have my vote and support.
Will for president! I’ve met you, listened to you, believe in you and voted for you!
Pick up the pace slacker- we need you in the big house
LOL. Congratulations to a great leader.
