What about the regular ducks,
Not many in the river this year.
Did anyone notice that?
It was a holiday weekend, of course. Perhaps they were away visiting relatives.
Oh my, totally amazing. I thought they had abandoned the nest and everyone was just too sad to talk about it.
That’s exactly what I thought.
This past Monday they were in the nest working very hard. Perhaps they are getting ready to drop some eggs and they want to get their house in order.
We live on the water , but have seen very few Cormorants , Egrets and Ospreys sofar. I think that the fish is late to arrive and the Ospreys were feeding elsewhere.
I said it before when people thought they’d
Were gone, (she was hunkered
Down on her eggs) he out hunting.
For the last two weeks I have seen them
Almost every time I’ve gone by. If there
Are babies they have hatched because
Mom & dad are often perched on the
Sides of the nest!
