Be The Stewardesses Of Our World. Totally.

Jarret Liotta is a man of many talents.

The 1983 Staples High School graduate is a Westport filmmaker and writer. Recently, he put his talents to work on a short film about the environment — specifically, car idling, and the idle thinking behind it.

Jarret filmed “Save the Trees” in front of (of course) Starbucks, with a local cast including Sara Levine and Annie McCarthy.

It’s well worth the 2 1/2 minutes. Enjoy!

  1. I didn’t get much out of this.

  2. Next time you see someone idling tell them it’s a $300 fine. (Though it may not be true, it might do the job). The irony of the paper flyers littered about. Great funny short.

  3. Lol. Nailed it, Jarret

  4. Catherine Walsh

    loved it.

  5. Hilarious. Kinda reminds me of observing town meetings where the importance of walking and biking is discussed with near ecclesiastic fervor. When the meeting ends, the participants all file past the (empty) bike rack behind town hall, get into their monster SUVs and speed off. Like, whatever.

  6. CT has a rule that, in general, seeks to limit idling of vehicles to no more than three minutes. I regularly tell people in an extended idling circumstance of the rule, as well as noting that idling is noisy and polluting. Most people are responsive and, since I am polite, they are polite. We all can make a difference, just try..
