Rear view of Gault’s barn. Most folks in town have never seen this view. It’s beautiful…
One of my favorite hidden Westport gems…the back of the Gault barn. Incredible construction
That’s the cool rear side of the Gault barn, seen from Sleigh Ridge.
Beautiful. I’ve never seen this until now, thanks for posting!
The Connecticut Trust for Historic Preservation recently determined this to be one of the top ten most significant barns in the state.
Hey … maybe one of you know. My grandmother used to live in Westport in the ’40s. She also traveled by ship occasionally to and from Europe. On one of those ship manifests, her address is listed as “Gault Cottage, Westport CT”.
DOES ANYONE KNOW WHAT OR WHERE “GAULT COTTAGE” WAS? STILL IS?
Thanks.
