Pic Of The Day #383

A few years ago, mature trees in the Stop & Shop parking lot were replaced with smaller, younger ones. Not all have survived. (Photo/Mark Mathias)

Sad and amazing, how if it’s not “theirs,” some people just don’t seem to care…

The tree looks dead already and I don’t see tire tracks. Maybe a natural casualty?

  3. I can only guess, as I didn’t see what happened, but am frequently there (for the comparatively short Starbucks line)…

Even the self-centered, SUV-driving, cell phone-talking, red light-racing, super-entitled Westport folk would have had a tough time reaching the tree to knock it down, before stopping.

Methinks it more likely, when there was a lot of heavy equipment doing work in the parking lot last week, that one of the trucks or tractors knocked it down.
