    The tree looks dead already and I don’t see tire tracks. Maybe a natural casualty?

      There is nothing natural about a tree in the middle of a paved parking lot…

    I can only guess, as I didn’t see what happened, but am frequently there (for the comparatively short Starbucks line)…

    Even the self-centered, SUV-driving, cell phone-talking, red light-racing, super-entitled Westport folk would have had a tough time reaching the tree to knock it down, before stopping.

    Methinks it more likely, when there was a lot of heavy equipment doing work in the parking lot last week, that one of the trucks or tractors knocked it down.
