  1. What was it before It housed theParks & Rec Dept.? I realize it was part of the Longshore Estate, but was it the servants’ quarters or something else?

  2. That’s a good photograph. It shows the building well and I’m guessing the building is not noticed all that much, especially when the foliage comes. It’s an interesting building – all the lines and forms are nicely balanced. I can’t identify the style – maybe mid-western? Maybe someone can provide more details. And who was the architect?

  3. Originally it was a stable. It was redesigned at least twice to suit the newly formed Recreation Commission in the early 60s, and later when it became Parks & Recreation.

  4. It housed my office when I was Exec. Dir. of First Night Westport Weston. The Levitt Pavilion was across the hall.
