This Saturday (March 24), Westporters will join millions of other Americans, in rallies against gun violence (and the politicians who enable it).
There are “March For Our Lives” marches of every size, and nearly every location.
Westporters will gather at 6:30 p.m. in the Bartaco parking lot, then head over the Ruth Steinkraus Cohen Bridge to Main Street.
The biggest event is in Washington, DC. Others in New York and Hartford will draw area residents too.

And if you’re going to the Ruger demonstration — or will be part of a counter-demonstration there — we’d like to see those images too.
In 2012, protesters on the Post Road bridge raised the issue of gun violence. This Saturday, they’ll cross it — for the same reason.

Can’t March Saturday, but will testify at the public hearing tomorrow at the capitol in Hartford re: Bump Stocks and Ghost Guns. Our voices matter- good luck to and God bless all the marchers.

A time is coming and is now here when anyone who kills an NRA member or gun owner will think he is doing a service to God…They will not call it murder but purging….I’m not afraid of gun owners, that privilege is left to tyrants and politicians who use the death of children to advance their cause
And where exactly is your proof for this?
Simply apply a” I VOTED FOR TRUMP” sticker and “SUPPORT THE NRA” sticker on your car and go to anti-gun demonstration and let me know how you make out

All NRA members oppose gun violence, so you believe your own intolerance of gun owners and the bill of rights….like I said I’m not afraid of either
From today’s NY Times: “By late morning, counterprotests were also gaining steam. In Salt Lake City, demonstrators carried pistols and flags. One of their signs read: “What can we do to stop mass shootings? SHOOT BACK.”
Sounds like the police in FL should have followed that advice.
