Pics Of The Day #121
This entry was posted in Beach, Environment, Pic of the Day and tagged Hummock Island Oysters, Sherwood Mill Pond. Bookmark the permalink.
Super “Pics of the Day” Dan! In my opinion the Mill Pond is as valid and valuable an asset to Westport as Compo Beach or anything else one might designate. It remains as unsullied and productive as it was when the first CT farmers arrived to live and farm in the area. The Mill Pond is living history; good for Westport!
Great choice of photos.
I remember when I was a kid, we used to dive and swim off the walk way along side the Mill Pond houses and swim out to this island. :>)
Was my backyard & playground growing up. Many, many fond memories of this neighborhood! It was a bit like living the Tom Sawyer Life…
Wow! Just “Wow!”
Loved my tour of Hummock Island! So glad the Northrops are keeping the oyster business alive.
