That reminds me of when I was commuting and had to catch the six fourteen from Rowayton because our morning meeting started at seven thirty

Dan, I’m really enjoying this new feature! Really great photos!

    • Thanks, Dorrie! A reminder to all readers: Feel free to submit your own shots. It can be an intriguing composition, great colors, a new look at a familiar place — anything that says “Westport.” The only requirement: It has to have something “Westport” about it. In other words, no shots of your favorite birch tree in the back yard. Thanks!

Great photo Dan, as all have been. Having been a MN commuter, this truly captures that vibe

Long days to the Big Apple and back home again, is how many of our parents lived.

How many of us still do it. Most Westport residents I know are hard-working men and women, leaving for work early and getting home well into the evening.

  5. except for the yellow metal stuff, when i look at the pic it’s 1949 and i’m
13, standing there with my cello waiting for the train to go into Town (NYC)
for my lesson with Luigi Silva at the Mannes School.
