    I need the extra hour because I’m still undecided between Trump, Clinton, or Woog, as a write-in!

      Unfortunately, Dan’s not an approved write-in candidate so a vote for him won’t be counted. I was going to submit the appropriate paperwork on his behalf but, when I asked him, he declined saying “If nominated, I will not run; if elected, I will not serve” as he thought he could add more value to society by continuing to publish 06880 and coaching soccer. I respected his wishes.

        By what rationale does the state smother our freedom of speech and our electoral rights by allowing only votes for “approved” write-in candidates. That seems to violate any number of laws, starting with the Constitution. I fully understand that write-ins are unlikely to win, but why should we be precluded from casting a vote to make a point?

          Who approves write-in candidates? Who comprises the Electoral College? What ever happened to the idea of “One Vote One Voice”? Certainly a wacky way to run a National election.

          I’m off to buy a crate of good Scotch now… enough to last until 2020, or beyond.

    Gee, I would have happily voted for Dan!!!! Not that I would want to subject him to the job, but then he has had some experience moderating this blog in our creatively outspoken town.
