Weathering The Storm

Last night’s thunderstorm tore a narrow but destructive path through Westport.

The owner of this Colony Road home assessed the damage philosophically: “It’s only a tree.”

More thunderstorms are possible through Tuesday.

And we don’t have to tell you: It’s hot!

  1. When it’s this hot and crazy storms blow through, there’s a lot to complain about. I like to keep my less than positive opinions off social media, but I’ll give and take all the good vibes I can. We lost power yesterday afternoon, not surprising considering all the pressure that was put on the grid. Eversource was on our street quicker than I ever expected. When they got everyone on our street up and running, except us, they had 7 or 8 cars and trucks to help them figure out that there was a problem in the line running to our house. Even though they knew I had a generator that powered everything I needed, except air conditioning, Eversource contacted Lupo Electric who came during the worst part of the thunder storm with a generator that powered my entire house. Perry slept in his truck to ensure that my house was powered and cool all night and accepted nothing other than a cup of coffee. Eversource was back this morning to dig and install a new line. By noon everything was back in working order. Thank you Eversource and Lupo Electric for your terrific customer service, and for keeping your cool so I could keep cool.

  2. Love that you took the time, Libby, to write this letter of praise. 🙂
