Down By the Riverside

Today’s weather is not exactly the get-outside-and-enjoy type.

But a couple of days ago, it was. Westporters did.

And alert “06880” reader/photographer Fred Cantor was there — at the Riverwalk — to capture them.

Rodin's "The Thinker"? No, Cantor's "The Reader."

Rodin’s “The Thinker”? No, Cantor’s “The Reader.”

A late lunch, and great light.

A late lunch, and a great view.

Not an abandoned bicycle. The rider walked down the nearby steps, to the water’s edge.

Thank you for sharing these amazing images…just wish those that did visit this amazing location remember to pick up their trash.

My neighbor and I pick up litter most mornings when we walk there.

Lovely and in my case memory-provoking photos.

The sad little Riverwalk…I was just down there. About the only thing doing well is the poison ivy. Yikes.

  4. Where are the fours and eights? The pairs, the scullers?
Any rower would see this scene and smile.

And earlier this week, someone strung up a hammock and relaxed. Fred, watch for the return of that scene!

I could see my father’s building (Bridge Grill) far away at the bridge. If there is anyone I grew up with that’s left there I would love to hear from you
