Luxe Winebar — the much-loved but not-visited-enough cocktail bar in the small shopping center at 190 Main Street — will reopen soon, under new ownership.
Former owner Robert Reilly has passed the cork to new owner Dave Morton. The 2 are working together on improvements — without losing any of the old appeal.
Morton is designing a “warmer and friendlier” setting, plus menu items that complement the existing cheese and charcuterie. He’s looking at desserts and chocolates from neighboring businesses, plus other “wine-friendly noshes like hummus and pita chips, and olives.”
Morton will continue to offer the craft cocktails and wines that regular customers love. He plans to host special events, like acoustic musicians. Luxe can also be rented for private functions.
And — not that people going to a wine bar should care about this, but they do: There’s free Wi-Fi.
