Amid the welter of signs polluting the Post Road, a few stand out for their originality.
The best may be the hand-painted wooden ones, near the Double L Market.
That’s the beloved fresh fruit-vegetable-and-more store next to Calise’s Market (yay!) and diagonally across from McDonald’s (ugh).
It’s the 3rd location for Lloyd Allen (“double L” — get it?), and the signs are completely in character with both him and his business.
They were last week’s Photo Challenge. Many of Lloyd’s customers and friends (actually, they’re the same thing) nailed the answer. Congratulations to Sally Kleinman, Rob Hauck, John McKinney, Robin Jaffee Frank, Suzanne Zarrilli, Martha Witte, Jan Carpenter, Craig Thiemann, Lynn Abramson, Lynn Untermeyer Miller, David Loffredo, Beth Berkowitz, Todd Ehrlich, Werner Liepolt and Betsey Lebow.
You sure know your onions!
Today’s Photo Challenge is clearly from Green’s Farms (duh). But where exactly in that neighborhood?
