This picture brings back childhood memories for me.
I would guess that this view looks a lot more like the bridge over Newtown Ave. (Not an exit and neither would a bridge further east be an exit if it existed at all.) The nearest west that Westport would allow Fairfield to toughen up the roads with traffic was the Black Rock Turnpike. Probably a lot Fairfield’s mllionaire residents were also anxious to keep their gorgeous streets clear of any “super highway.”
