I remember seeing construction equipment parked on that small piece of property 40 years ago. Is this the best use of that property? It’s right on the Post Road so it must be zoned for business.
This is an accident waiting to happen. One day they will pull out the wrong log and it will not be pretty.
I understand your concern. Drivinh up and down the Post Road is an accident waiting to happen. The owner of the tree business has never caused an accident. I agree it is a strange situation and a logical concerned citizen would think it’s dangerous
I’d like to know why for 50 or 60 or maybe 70 years this tiny piece of property has not been utilized except for parking construction equipment and logs. You’d think an adjacent property owner would have bought it, or the owner would have built something on it. Is it too small to do any building on? It’s been an eye sore for decades! Maybe Gloria G. can weigh in on this? I bet she would know the story behind this property!
Anyone for a huge game of pickup sticks Lose / lose game!
Never ceases to amaze us when we drive past this perpetual eyesore that there isn’t a more profitable and useful use for this property!
Someone must be at the least making a decent living selling firewood instead of selling the property!
Who owns this property? This is an accident ready to happen!
To paraphrase Ronald Reagan: ‘Ms. Tooker,,,take this wall down’
As Dan has mentioned previously, this is the subject of ongoing – – yes, seemingly endless – – litigation
now I am able to log in on my computer

Worst eyesore on post road!!!! How can we get rid of it?
Rew,
It could be milled into dimensional lumber and used for a variety of things that would be of benefit to society.
Better to light a candle than to curse the darkness.
Let us be unburdened from what has been.
Barts Tree provides a service widely used across town, and per a conversation with the owner, the logs are promptly picked up and shipped to Canada for recycling/milling.
Love the carved bear greeting people to the site…..
I have an idea. How about the town of Westport buy this piece of property? #endofproblem
