Just a great historical representation of times past and present that must have its look and feel preserved with a safe and significant matching design.
We should be pushing DOT to secure adequate funding now under the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law and complete a new design with the historical swing truss repacement that will have wider lanes and pedestrian and bicycle provisions. We must also convince DOT that roadways in Saugatuck are grossly in adequate to provide 18 wheel semi truck access and use of this new historical correct bridge replacement.
Well said!!!
2nd photo makes the bridge look so relaxing. Not the normally stressful traffic jam it often can be. Nice picture.
